We support our employees in their endeavors to stand out for good by sponsoring four, paid volunteer hours per month.

Our employees have volunteered over 8,200 hours for non-profit organizations.

Every Altar'd State store and the home office sponsors children in high-risk areas of Peru. The sponsorship provides these children with nutritional, educational, and psychological support.

Altar'd State currently sponsors 175 children in Peru.

We are driven by our desire to give back to those in need in our communities and around the world. We strive to always increase our reach by opening new stores and partnering with a variety of non-profit organizations.

To date, your Altar'd State purchases have helped us donate $7,943,416!

People often ask us why? The answer is simple, to give back. It's not just what we do, it's who we are. We want to do more than provide fashionable alternatives to women who want to make a difference. We want to inspire a movement to stand out - for good.

We give in any way we can. Whether it's through "Give Back" brands, our Mission Monday program, funding employee volunteer hours, or various outreach opportunities, we strive to constantly contribute to the world around us.

To the left, you can see a few statistics on what we have been able to do so far. This is only possible because of you, our customers, who give every time you shop with us. We are thankful for each of you who share our vision and mission to change the world. We cannot wait to see the change we can accomplish together!

Our pillars of philanthropy are:

  • Donate a total of 1% of all sales to local and international charities

  • Fund employee volunteer hours each month

  • Work with vendor partners who share our mission to give back

In October 2013, Altar'd State began making charitable donations to a registered 501(c)3 not-for-profit organization that works to support the sustainable social development efforts of Coprodeli Peru. "We are excited to announce this partnership," stated Aaron Walters, chairman and CEO of Altar'd State, "We are impressed with what Coprodeli has done to impact the communities of Peru through a sustainable giving model. We plan to work closely with this organization to improve community-based development and the quality of life for families living in poverty there."  Read more here .
